Q-Cal (Qatar Calibration Services W.L.L.) was established in Qatar in 1998 to provide process equipment calibration, repair, rental and management services. The company was formed as a joint venture between Petrotec (Petroleum Technology Company) and the UK based calibration specialist EMIS (Electrical Mechanical Instrument Services (UK) Ltd.). EMIS

A service company whose core business is calibration, repair and management of test & process instrumentation and equipment. EMIS- Accreditation from UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) is coupled with ISO 9001:2000 to offer a comprehensive service to all clients. EMIS has another laboratory in Abudhabi and carry out calibration works in Azerbaijan, Libya, Tunisia and Nigeria. Q-Cal emulates many of the services provided by EMIS.

Established in 1989, Petrotec supplies equipment and provides related engineering services to all energy based industries in Qatar.
