Sasol Chevron was established in October 2000 as a 50/50 joint venture to actively pursue commercial application of Gas-To-Liquids (GTL) technology for selected Chevron and Sasol-held reserves of natural gas; third-party gas reserves; and host countries seeking to monetize their gas reserves.

From its head office in London, Sasol's long track record, of successful synthetic fuel production and related technology development, with Chevron's international presence, global market reach and project resources.

Sasol Chevron is committed to bringing premium, environment-friendly alternative fuels to world markets. GTL's efficient, premium, high-performance natural gas-derived characteristics are fundamentally redefining environmental performance in terms of urban emissions and air quality.

Sasol Chevron Qatar is currently working to develop a slate of world-class GTL production facilities in Qatar, including a base oils production capacity, large-scale expansions to ORYX GTL and an evaluation of related upstream opportunities. Sasol Chevron also acts as the marketing agent for the products from the Oryx GTL plant.
