Compass International School Doha (CISD) opened in September 2006 to provide great learning for the growing number of international families in Doha, Qatar. Today, CISD’s enrolment comprises of approximately 400 students from over 40 countries.
The Gharaffa Campus is situated in the Al Gharaffa district of Doha, close to the newly developed and prestigious Education City. The campus currently serves students aged 3 to 12 (Early Years to Year 7), and includes a swimming pool, a large multi-purpose hall, a five-a-side football pitch, English and Dutch libraries, a computer suite, language rooms and classrooms. The main building is a former royal palace.
The new Rayyan Campus, located about 10 minutes from the Gharaffa Campus, is scheduled to open in September 2009 to accommodate the growing number of students and to offer new Secondary Classes. The campus will take students from Early Years through Year 9, and the campus will include specialist rooms for science, music, art, ICT and languages. It will also have a large sports field, air conditioned sports hall and general classroom spaces.
Compass International School Doha currently provides education for students from Reception to Year 7. Starting in September 2009, the school will offer Secondary School classes (Year 7 to Year 9). The school’s long term commitment is to offer education up to Year 13.
Compass International School Doha is owned by Education Overseas Qatar (EOQ) and operated by the WCL Group, a British company which also operates Fieldwork Education and British Schools of America.
