About Audiology & Speech Therapy
Audiology therapy includes study related to hearing or balance disorders. The Audiologists who treat those have hearing problems determine their ability to hear with various tests and these tests include the measurements whether the patient can hear in normal range or not, which of the portion is damage and at what extent. According to the abnormality of hearing, the audiologist recommend to a patient different option e.g. hearing aid, surgery and other medical treatments.
Speech Therapy include the problems in the oral and pharyngeal stages e.g. intonation, articulation, resonance, fluency, semantic, pragmatics etc. The practitioner treat according to the nature of the disorder and these treatments consist of physical exercises, repetitive practice, drilling and other facilities to functional communication.
