Trelco International was established in 2006 as a joint venture between Trelco limited Co. and Mr. Said Siam to import, stock, and sell building materials with emphasis on aggregates.
Affiliates
Trelco Shin Yang F.Z.C., formed through a joint venture between Trelco International and Shin Yang F.Z.C., owns and operates a growing fleet of tug boats and barges. This extends the scope of operations of Trelco International. Now, not only it is a major market supplier of aggregate in Qatar but also a significant shipping and chartering company. In essence, this joint venture completes the business cycle for Trelco International when it comes to aggregates, a goal that Trelco International is always seeking.
Services
With Qatar being one of the world’s richest countries, infrastructure expansion projects are always in motion. Trelco International has a good grasp of the Qatari market with operations in the various parts of Qatar:
•Trelco International supplies more than 1.5M Tones of aggregate per annum to Ras Laffan, Qatar’s Northern Territory.
•Trelco International supplies more than 1.2M Tones of aggregate per annum to various market players through its Umm Saeed facilities.
Projects
1. New Doha International Airport (NDIA): New Doha International Airport, a 22 Square Km project, is one of the major ongoing projects in Qatar’s Capital, Doha. Trelco International supplies more than 1 Million Tones of aggregate material towards this project each year. This commitment is not only towards the material but towards the execution and logistics too. So much so that a private loading platform was designed and erected. The NDIA project reflects the skills and creativity of Trelco International to execute and deliver projects no matter how challenging this may be.
2. Asphalt Plant: Asphalt is certainly a product of wide demand in Qatar; however is one that is not easy to come about it to laws and restrictions. Trelco International was authorized by the state of Qatar to join the few asphalt plants in Qatar. A certificate that reflects the state’s confidence in our work and performance. Our Asphalt Plant has an average of 2000 Tons per day and is projected to commence operation in May 2009.
